STEM Field Trips
STEM field trips at ROLLER KINGDOM
You’ve sat through the science-museum field trip where half the kids wander off after twenty minutes. Here, they can’t wander off, they’re too busy trying to stay upright. Somewhere between falling down and figuring out how to stop falling down, force and motion stop being vocabulary words and start being something they actually did with their own body.

Why it works
Skating is physics
they can feel
Ask a class to define inertia and you’ll get blank stares. Put them on skates and try to get them moving from a dead stop, and every kid in the room understands it instantly, they just don’t have the vocabulary for it yet. That’s the whole idea here. We’re not asking students to imagine physics, we’re putting them inside it for an afternoon, then handing the vocabulary back to you once the legs already know the concept.
The learning
What students actually take away.
Here’s where a session lines up with what’s already on the syllabus:
Force & Motion
Every stride is a push-and-glide demonstration of Newton's third law.
Friction
Wheels, floor texture, and body weight all change how fast you stop.
Momentum & Inertia
Getting started takes more effort than staying in motion, and kids feel exactly why.
Energy
Watch it convert between stored and moving as skaters speed up and slow down.
Balance
A skater's center of gravity shifts constantly just to stay vertical.
Speed, Distance, Time
A stopwatch and a lap turn into a real-world word problem.

Plan your trip

Booking starts with three things: how many students, what grade, and roughly when you’re thinking. From there we handle the rest, including any documentation your school needs before a trip gets signed off.
